Xebec is now able to exchange business documents through its RESTful API inspired interface complete with secure login and data transfer.
How Does It Work?
Following the RESTful API standards, we have developed a platform for programmers that are more comfortable programming to API models than flat file exchange. Using our encrypted https web capabilities, we have developed processes for retrieving login tokens and both pushing and pulling data from our platform via JSON encoded arrays. The process will replace the flat file exchange of data between your 3rd party provider and your ERP system. This is great for ERP packages such as Microsoft Dynamics AX which only allows file exchange if you have the correct add on software installed.
I Think We Already Have API Capabilities?
It is possible you already have API connections with retailers such as Amazon as a way of avoiding X.12 EDI. However each of these API connections are completely different for each of your partners.
